(Miami, Fl. — November 3, 2020) — RER Consulting Enterprise, LLC (RER) was awarded a grant and launched the COVID-19 Mental Health & Wellness Program©. The Program will host its second module “COVID & YOU: Health and Wellness During Covid-19.” The Program’s objective is to assist Miami-Dade County residents navigate the myriad of challenges during and post the COVID-19 pandemic, with an emphasis on the wide spectrum of mental health-related issues associated with disasters and pandemics.

The module will cover in-depth details of coping strategies through the crisis, including topics such as:
- Physical elements of wellness
- Mental/Emotional elements of wellness
- Spiritual elements of wellness
- Resiliency elements of wellness
- Ideas for coping
During the first module “COVID & YOU: Exploring the Impact of COVID,” presenter Dr. Maria Teahan explained: “What is your story? We want to acknowledge that something dramatically has changed in our lives…Change creates a sense of loss in us. It’s important to bring forth that acknowledgment of change not only individually, but collectively as a community. But, I also want to acknowledge the incredible resiliency, strength, courage, and endurance that people have shown through the last seven months of our new reality.”
RER has partnered with New Horizons Community Mental Health Center, Barry University, Community Based Organizations, and trusted partners to deliver the COVID-19 Mental Health & Wellness Program©. The program is free to Miami-Dade County residents and will provide a wide range of direct and referral services.
